HackYeah 2025: 24 Hours of Creativity, Code, and… Neurohacking
Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining HackYeah 2025 – the largest on-site hackathon in Europe – at TAURON Arena Kraków, like in a previous edition in a dual role as a mentor and speaker. The event gathered thousands of developers, engineers, designers, and tech enthusiasts ready to spend 24 hours creating solutions for real-world challenges.
On Saturday afternoon, I delivered a talk titled “Neurohacking in Practice: How to Train Your Brain with EEG Data” (October 4th, 3:00-3:45 PM). I explored how neurofeedback – which uses real-time EEG data -enables us not only to observe but also to consciously shape brain activity. This fascinating field sits at the intersection of biohacking, neuroinformatics, and brain – computer interfaces (BCIs), offering practical tools for improving focus, reducing stress, and designing new forms of human-technology interaction.
As a mentor, I had the chance to support teams working on projects related to well-being, mental health, and cognitive enhancement technologies. Watching young innovators tackle complex problems with creativity and interdisciplinary thinking was truly inspiring. It’s clear that the Polish tech community is not only skilled in coding but also bold enough to explore uncharted scientific and technological frontiers.
HackYeah 2025 once again proved that innovation begins where technology meets humanity.
I’m leaving this event full of inspiration, great conversations, and the conviction that neurotechnology is becoming an exciting and integral part of the hackathon landscape – and that’s exactly where it belongs.
