HackYeah 2024 recap
It takes:
700 kilograms of cookies
6000 cups of coffee
4000 slices of pizza
to create a spectacular event such as HackYeah 2024 – the biggest stationary hackathon in Europe!
The 10th edition of this amazing hacakthon has concluded, showcasing impressive creativity and problem-solving. Participants tackled challenges across sectors like Education, GameDev, and Fintech, submitting over 400 innovative projects.
With a prize pool of over 250,000 PLN, the competition was fierce. Held at Tauron Arena, the event brought together more than 2,600 attendees for an intense 24-hour coding marathon, taking on 12 unique tasks.
Crucial to the hackathon’s success were the 200 dedicated mentors who offered their expertise, helping participants throughout this exciting weekend.
I had the incredible opportunity to be both a speaker and mentor at HackYeah. During my talk: “Brain as the key to the digital world” I presented how brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are reshaping the cybersecurity landscape.
From controlling devices with your thoughts to improving security in banking and industrial systems, BCIs open up new possibilities. This technology is not just futuristic – it’s becoming an integral part of how we protect our digital world.
Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged in exciting discussions!
Well done HackYeah crew for making this hackathon so well organised! I’m already looking forward to the next edition of this amazing event.
